Areas of Interest

Any acute limb as you can usually see a lot of change quickly with good management. However, I have a personal interest in shoulder, neck and knee injuries from having had my own significant injuries in these areas. I also enjoy covering sports as you get to watch something interesting, as well as it gets the heart going if there is an injury.

Why I became a Physiotherapist

As an active teenager I found myself regularly needing physio for various niggles and developed an awareness of the impact that a good physio can have on someone’s recovery and return to their chosen activity. I also grew up in a family of pharmacists and have always had an interest in healthcare. Being very keen on my sport, in particular rugby union, Physiotherapy ticked all the boxes.

Something else about me

After I graduated, I worked in Darwin for 2 years in a large sports-based practice which allowed me to see some parts of the country I would never have considered traveling to. My wife and I returned to Brisbane to start a family, prior to moving to Toowoomba in 2017. We now have two very active little girls.

I have worked extensively with the men’s and women’s rugby union and rugby 7’s, AFL and I have covered at master’s games working across a number of different sports. My preference is contact sports because that’s what I grew up playing and I am still an avid fan.
